Lori A. Tabor, MSW, LCSW

Hello! Nice to meet you.

In my therapeutic style, I strive to work alongside women who may be feeling stuck, seeking peace, or searching for hope in their present situations. In recognizing that every person has a unique story to tell and engaging in this story with you, I can help you to find strength and the happiness you deserve.

I enjoy working with women at all stages of life, and have a particular passion for perinatal mental health, including postpartum anxiety and depression.  I recognize that pregnancy and the postpartum period may not always be what we had imagined or what others have told us it should be. I understands that those expectations can lead women to feelings of shame and guilt.  I hope to work with women and their partners to overcome these obstacles and find their inner strength.

I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 2003 and have a background in medical social work, including experience with new parents in obstetrics and the newborn intensive care unit. I am trained in EMDR as well.

Outside of work, I am married and a mom of 3.  So I get it. I enjoy vacationing with my family, watching my kids’ various activities, and reading.
